In 2014, Tim Reece opened SoR Aurora with owners Karla and Ron Willard. As the assistant general manager, he was instrumental to the program's success.

On May 15th, 2017 Tim lost his 9 month battle with cancer. He is remembered by our music community as a inspiring teacher, thoughtful mentor, and devoted friend. As a way to preserve his legacy as an artist and teacher,Tim's family and PRO created the

 Timothy Christopher Reece Scholarship Program.

Tim Reece, you are our dear friend and forever a part of our music family.

Timothy Christopher Reece Scholarships

-We partner with School of Rock Aurora to provide music scholarships. Scholarships are need-based and awarded for all instruction that School of Rock provides: lessons, camps, and performance programs (Rock 101, 201, and Headliners).

-Special situations are always considered, so if you are in the middle of a performance program season and have had a change of circumstances, please feel free to submit an application.

-Scholarship awards are dependent on number of applicants and PRO's available funds

-Scholarships are awarded based on financial need. A scholarship committee considers anonymous applications, and determines recipients and awards. Scholarships are administered by PRO.

Would you like to try a new instrument without the investment?

Students at the School of Rock Aurora have access to our Instrument Loan Program.  Any enrolled student can check out any of the instruments listed below for 30 days to determine if an instrument is right for them.

What’s the cost?

It works like any other library: prior to checking out the instrument, a parent or guardian will sign a lending agreement that states you will reimburse PRO for any damage or loss that occurs while the instrument is in your care. Normal wear and tear is not considered damage.

What instruments do you have?

Bass Guitar and Practice Amp

Electric Guitar and Practice Amp

5 Piece Drum Kit

Keyboard (and stand)

3/4 Size Electric Guitar and Practice Amp

3/4 Bass Guitar and Practice Amp

Junior Drum Kit (approx ages 5-8yrs)

How do I get started?

Please fill out the form below. We'll contact you to let you know if the instrument is available, and if so, when to pick it up. All instruments will be picked up at School of Rock Aurora. Instruments will be checked out on a first come, first serve, and you may be put on a wait list.

Thank you to our generous sponsors who make this program possible
